What to look for, when making a website?

It might be unnecessary to spend on professional web designing if all that you, as an individual or an organization, require is a page--or few--of material on the web talking about you. Online tutorials, forums, etc. sometimes help lay people to make websites themselves.

However, if you have decided to make a website professionally, you might need to consider at least these three aspects in this order: Functionality, Appearance and Budget. That is 'F,' 'A,' and 'B.' Fab!

It seems highly improbable to find a Londoner who does no know www.gumtree.com although it looks quite ordinary—thanks to its functionality! You, first off, need to establish what your website should do for you: publish some information on the internet, enable you to sell your products online, enable your clients to create a username and password  to access information that you want to share only with them, allow e-mail accounts in your domain name (for example, info@fauxpalette.com), et cetera. Visiting your competitors' websites, discussion with peers, might help you to achieve this, or ask us. Now, list the functions that you like your website to perform.

Appearance is rarely a matter of big concern, but some people do take meticulous care about the look of their website. For example, www.navinramalingam.com is a website in the making of which creativity in design was the heart of the matter.

A website with the given functionality could be made to fit any budget, for example, from £500 to £5000.

It might help matters if you: list what you want your website to look like, cost, and do, and then request different professionals or companies to advise you and give you their quotes.
